A peaceful base for an active and cultural holiday on the Peak District border near Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath.

Church Cottage nestles in the grounds of the Old Vicarage in the Derbyshire village of Darley Bridge behind St Mary’s church. This small stone cottage is around 200 years old and was renovated in 2023.

The cottage has an open plan room with kitchenette, sleeping area and en-suite shower room. The large living room, with exposed stone and vaulted ceiling with beams, has bi-folding doors opening onto your private patio with hot tub, barbecue, and views across lawned gardens and the Derwent Valley beyond.

In our view, Church Cottage is a perfect rural retreat for couples who enjoy nature, wildlife, leisure, culture, stately homes, historic market towns, walking in the dales and cycling on extensive trails.
